Gary Chambers, MS, CIH

Senior Project Manager/Senior Industrial Hygienist

 

Gary Chambers is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), who has been involved with occupational health and safety for more than 20 years in both the private and public sectors.  He has directed health and safety programs for a multi-plant public utility.  In addition, he has served as a health and safety consultant to a wide variety of industries.

 

He served as a Safety Program Manager within the Department of Public Utilities and Aviation (City of Columbus, Ohio). He provided training, inspected laboratory, construction, and plant worksites, and supervised the Workers’ Compensation function.

 

In his role as an Industrial Hygiene Consultant for the State of Ohio’s Division of Safety & Hygiene, he worked in a broad spectrum of industries.  The scope of his work included industrial hygiene monitoring and confined space assessments.  In addition, he provided field training on a number of topics, including respiratory protection, hazard communication, blood-borne pathogens, confined space work, and workplace violence prevention.  He also served as a staff trainer for the Ohio Center for Occupational Safety and Health, where he presented formal programs in the above-mentioned topics.

 

After re-locating to California, Gary was affiliated with Hygiene Technologies International, where he provided health and safety evaluations in diverse industries.  His occupational health work included traditional IH noise and chemical monitoring, as well as fungal testing, and fungal abatement oversight.
